So here's an unhappy development for a guy named "Mike". I found his custom chips for sale on Ebay.
"Artwork" being a relative term:"Your looking at a pretty new set of chips here. I only used them once. These are going to be hard for me to sell because they say Mikes casino on them, so I'm hoping someone out there wants these. I'm only selling because the wife won't let me have any more games :( .
To the facts:
I bought these chips from www.homepokerchips.com for about $670.00 with shipping. 98cents a chip and 150 bucks for artwork."
With 4 hours left on the auction, Mike's chips have a high bid of $206.50. Poor schmuck. He's gonna take at least a $500.00 hit on these. (Update - final price $255.00)
Note to self: make sure bride is completely on board with all aspects of custom poker chip purchase.

Sucks to be him, unless that's his wife on the chips.
BTW, Nick: "It's an expensive endeavor and not one that should be entered into without serious forethought."
At this point, I think the Panama Canal was entered into with less serious forethought than your chips....
If that's his wife on the chips, then she should be too busy working the stripper pole to complain about him hosting a poker game.
I guess it's too late for me to pick up this set of chips. It was nice of him to personalize them for me.
Mike
