Card covers that suck

Does anyone really need a card cover that looks like this?

I used to think he sucks, but not anymore.

If you've caught any of the 7 card stud from the 2004 WSOP coverage on ESPN, then you probably remember this guy

Marcel "The Flying Dutchman" Luske, who it turns out, is much cooler than I thought he was. Warning: have a hanky ready.

"the worst. hotel. Ever."

Jim made the first post of a "serious" poker weblog last week. Continuing in that vein, there is a self-proclaimed tall, fat, drunk guy (seperated from Nick at birth?) who goes by the weblog handle "G-Rob" and writes at Up For Poker. He has made an amusing entry about his recent stay at The Plaza which he calls "the worst. hotel. EVER."
That is, unless you like to "rub elbows with your favorite celebrities" like Magnum PI's Larry Manetti, in which case The Plaza is your kind of jernt.

Underground?

My final post of the day. Can you believe that this underground NJ poker club got raided and shut down last month?

We're not sure if it's completely legal, so let's start a website!

Authorities have broken up a makeshift, illegal casino housed in a massive warehouse in Dover, where two Roxbury police officers and their friend allegedly ran poker games and tournaments that raked in as much as $10,000 a week.

The two officers -- Sgt. Richard M. Winstock, 36, of Independence, and Thomas J. Juskus, 42, of Knowlton, both in Warren County -- were suspended with pay immediately after their arrests Saturday on charges of official misconduct, conspiracy, maintaining a gambling resort, and promoting gambling since at least Dec. 4. Their 5th Street Club, is in an 8,000-square-foot warehouse at 48 Richboynton Road in Dover.

And we thought that Showplace was a little iffy.

No good can come of this

I guess the purpose of this blog is to make fun of people we don't know. As opposed to NoLimitGrundle, where we make fun of people we do know.

I'm going to open the bidding with this - One woman's journey into the world of online poker....
